Wildroutes backcountry lodge trips bring guests back year after year for the ultimate ski holiday in BC. From luxurious retreats to rustic hideaways, these private lodges are set in alpine meadows surrounded by breathtaking mountain ranges, offering diverse terrain and world-class skiing. Choose from elegant, modern mountain retreats with hot running water and wifi, to off-grid cabins where you’ll haul water from the creek and keep the wood fire stoked.
Accessible by helicopter, each lodge is the perfect basecamp for guided adventures in the deep, dry snow of the Selkirk Mountains, Monashee Mountains, and Canadian Rocky Mountains. Our ACMG or IFMGA certified guides bring extensive knowledge of the local terrain at each lodge, ensuring your safety while leading you to the best skiing the region has to offer.
Wildroutes lodge trips are fully guided and range from three to seven days. Lodge stays include round-trip helicopter access, comfortable accommodation, gourmet meals prepared by a private chef, private rooms, lodge caretaker services, and wood-fired saunas. Our private hut trips are one of a kind. This very unique experience takes you to one of British Columbia’s only private small group backcountry huts. Helicopter access for up to 4 guests for 3 days. Simple and modern hut tucked away close to Revelstoke in a private 8000 acre tenure. Wood stove, sleeping bags, water from the creek, simple food prepared by the guide. Hemlock Hut
Revelstoke Backcountry Guide’s private hut. Small group ski-touring and splitboarding. Spend 3 days/ 3 nights nights in a private backcountry hut. Ideal for guests looking for a unique holiday in the heart of the Selkirk Mountains in Revelstoke. Built in 2017 this modern design cabin with sleeping loft and wood stove. Great for anyone looking to get away and enjoy a private mountain refuge with epic skiing at the doorstep. All trips include helicopter transfers from Revelstoke, a certified ACMG/IFMGA guide, and all meals. Groups of 1 – 4 plus guide. $1800/person
Sentry Mountain Lodge
Built in 2012, Sentry is an elegantly simple and sustainable new-era backcountry alpine lodge designed to inspire. The lodge gets a lot of attention but the terrain around Sentry truly makes it special. Great tree skiing right below the hut, short walks to epic pillow zones made famous in numerous ski movies. Or head out the back of the hut into Secret Valley for endless alpine runs on varying aspects. Many great natural circuits check all the boxes for what a backcountry ski trip should be. Groups up to 14 plus 4 staff. $4550/person
Sunrise Lodge
Sunrise Lodge is the southern gateway of the Esplanade and offers stunning views of the Rockies to the west and the Purcells to the south. A short hike to Paradise Ridge rewards you with amazing views in all directions. Sunrise is the first lodge to receive morning light making morning coffee even better with easily the best outhouse views you can ask for! With limited cell coverage, it’s the perfect ratio of staying connected but not too connected. The terrain offers everything, great alpine and tree skiing on all aspects makes it the perfect place to get great skiing in all weather conditions. Groups of up to 12 plus 4 staff. $3850/person
Vista Lodge
Vista lodge is set in the middle of a beautiful alpine meadow at the edge of Vista Lake. Vista has five drainages to ski offering a myriad of terrain choices. Vista is also the portal to the big alpine zones off Cherub Glacier to the west. Strategically located at the center of the Esplanade Range combined with its epic Alpine runs, Vista is famous for its ridiculous spring skiing. Groups of up to 12 plus 4 staff. $3850/person
Meadow Lodge
Famous for its pillow lines right below, Meadow Lodge is also the launching pad to some of the steepest and longest runs in the Esplanades. Numerous, long north and south-facing runs leave great options for various snow conditions. A short hike to Paradise Ridge is the access point for some of the Esplanade’s best west-facing runs. From here you’re treated to incredible views of Mt. Sir Sandford which at an elevation of 11,545 ft (3519 m) is the highest mountain in the entire Selkirk Range.
